Phil was a great mentor and spiritual director during one of the most formative seasons of my life. I can confidently attest to his integrity, wisdom and leadership. His ability to listen attentively, ask insightful questions, and offer discerning counsel created a space where I felt both challenged and supported in my spiritual growth. I thank God for his faithful ministry and the impact he’s had on my walk with Christ. Any person would be blessed to have Phil accompany them in their walk with Christ.

Philip has been an incredible spiritual director and pastor to me over the past couple of years—his presence is both grounding and inspiring. He is deeply caring, and I know I can be vulnerable without fear of being judged. Philip is transparent, authentic, and he's trustworthy. He has a deep knowledge of Scripture and a gift for bringing wisdom, clear thoughts, and encouragement. Our sessions have been so impactful and I’ve grown in my faith, deepened my understanding of myself and my walk with God. Because of the way Philip is, he walks alongside people with humility, grace, and genuine care.

Phil has an amazing ability to create space and help me find the stillness necessary to go deep, when life’s busyness so often keeps me on the surface. His guidance helps me explore the spiritual themes and practices that have helped me mature in my faith and take my intimacy with Christ to the next level.

I’ve met with Phil for coaching and spiritual counsel a number of times. He’s calm, steady, and doesn’t force anything. He listens properly, gives you space, but also knows when to speak plainly. Phil has helped me see things from a different angle, and he’s been willing to call things out when I couldn’t see what was in front of me. Always with gentleness, but never vague. He’s anchored in Scripture and speaks from a place of peace and conviction. What I’ve noticed is that he doesn’t say much - but what he says sticks. Phil shows up with honesty and quiet strength. I’m better for the conversations we’ve had.

I have been a client of Phil's in Spiritual Direction for around a year, and a friend for longer. When I meet with him, I know that I can be totally honest and feel safe and welcomed in doing so (and trust me, some of the things I've shared I wouldn't want to share with many others). Phil demonstrates a genuine care and interest for the individual and their life-story, whether it is from the past, present, or perceived experience. In his listening, Phil goes beyond the typical Spiritual Direction questions; while bringing everything back to the present with God and directing the sharing to a discovery of God's truth within the perceived experience, Phil also provides provoking questions to challenge the deeper narrative and an insight driven by wisdom, empathy, and a lived experience. Phil has been there for me in some pretty low places, and he continues to be a crucial source in my journey with God, myself, and others.

Working with Phil has been a deeply enriching experience. His ability to integrate faith-based principles with psychological insights creates a thoughtful and balanced approach to personal growth. He brings a calm, but discerning presence to each session. Phil’s guidance has not only helped me navigate challenges more effectively but has also strengthened my inner foundation.
